We’re located on a very special “barrier island” along the Gulf of Mexico and, like our neighboring barrier islands, waterfront property faces either the Gulf or the Intercoastal Waterway. At some points along this narrow piece of land you can view both bodies of water.

Now known as a quaint,  “old Florida” community, Indian Rocks Beach was initially developed as a beach front vacation spot and it is now very popular with all ages. You won’t find a cavern of “high rises” in Indian Rocks Beach but an array of more traditional locally owned shops, cafes, motels, cottages and condominiums.

We are proud of our rather “sleepy” appearance, but Indian Rocks Beach is also home to some of the best known restaurants along the Gulf Coast, and it holds an Arts and Crafts Festival every November and April. The city’s tourist population, especially in the winter months, is one of its greatest assets. Interestingly, the summer and fall months are rapidly becoming nearly as popular as the peak winter months. Our weather in September and October is simply fantastic.

Our easily accessible beaches and intercoastal waterways provide an array of enjoyable activities for residents and visitors alike. The Clean Water Marine Aquarium is situated on the West Coast of Florida and is a non-profit facility entirely committed to the much needed treatment of diseased and hurt marine animals.

Pier 60 Park is also open daily for you and your family from sunrise to sunset and features a children’s adventure playground with covered pavilions. The fishing pier, measuring around 1050 feet, provides you access to Gulf fishing activities.

Go for exhibitions, classes and workshops at the Beach Art Center. Gallery hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It’s a non-profit membership organization and open to anyone who appreciates art and craft work, be it traditional or contemporary.

You also don’t want to miss out on visiting the Indian Rocks Area Historical Society which explains with multifarious displays of pictures, exhibits and artifacts the engaging history of the region.
